The zoo keepers caught their breath; the excitement was too much!
“However can we thank you for the safe return of Cheeky Chops?” asked the keepers to Laverne and Larry.
“Well it was nothing really” said Laverne
coyly “but we would love a nice smoothie from your café. This sunshine is making us feel very
hot under our fur!” she continued.
“You
can have free smoothies for life at the café” said the keeper, smiling.
“We are
just relieved that Cheeky Chops was found safe and well. I hope the other animals will be returned to their
rightful owners soon.”
“I
am sure that the thief will confess” said Larry “the animals won’t be much use to him in prison.”
